“Vinyasa” in its original meaning from the early Tantras is defined as the “sequence of consciousness”.

Vinyasa Yoga is not a system and does not follow a particular lineage, hierarchy or guru. There is no official founder of Vinyasa Yoga, it is a modern style of yoga that arises from the tradition of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga.

The tradition of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, in turn, is based on the teachings of Sri Krishnamacharya, who is considered the grandfather of modern yoga according to which the movements between each asana they should be considered as important as the postures themselves.

His idea behind it was to deepen or improve concentration and body awareness throughout the entire practice. Rather than focusing on posture and then breathing, in Vinyasa yoga, the sole aim is to maintain the deep breathing and body awareness consistent throughout the practice.

Vinyasa is great for improving your overall fitness, the flexibility and mental well-being. Below are all the main benefits:
